Christmas cards!!

Yes I know it's only October but I love Christmas and am trying to get ahead - I live in optimistic hope at least!!

I have a couple of Christmas workshops coming up soon and wanted to advertise the events with some photos.  You will have to excuse the photo quality though.  It looked much better on my mobile than it now does on my computer!

Christmas cards for the workshop on Monday 3rd November:

Hope you like them.  My absolute favourite is the small square white one below.  Simple but effective.

Wedding card and mini photo album

I made this for a friend's wedding to compliment her bridesmaid's colour scheme.

I made a 7" x 5" mini photo album, matching card and little bag of journalling labels and mini cut out hearts and flowers.

The album was made using old patterned paper I had lying around and had three double page spreads, so just enough to add 6 photos sized 6" x 4". I rounded the corners on the edges and tied it up with ribbon to make it a bit more feminine.

The card was made using the same design as the album and was finished off with white organza ribbon underneath the label.  Flowers were added to the corners and the customary pearls added to the flowers and label.

This little bag of wonders were just scraps I had left over.  I cut out some matching journaling cards, and little flowers & hearts to match.

Supplies used were:  Apothecary stamp set, Framelits Labels Collections dies, Itty Bitty Accents punches, Blackberry Bliss ribbon and white Organza ribbon.

Stunning Stampers first meet!

I held the very first Stunning Stampers club workshop last night, and had a fab time.

We made a small selection of greetings cards with retiring stock designer series paper, and I think they look stunning.

The basic design for each card was the same, with squares cut from cardstock (Crisp Canteloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight) and designer series paper.  For this I used the postage stamp and 1" square punches.

The tiny flowers, hearts and stars were punched using the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.  I added  a bit of bling with rhinestones and pearls.

The greeting was made with the Label Love stamp set, and cut out with the Artisan Label punch.  These were stuck on with dimensionals to add depth.

Inspiring Inkin Annual Catalogue 2014-2015 Launch Blog Hop

Welcome to my very first blog hop!  I hope you are all enjoying the blogs and picking up some lovely ideas for your crafting projects.

The project I made for the new catalogue launch was a 6" x 6" notebook, treats box and card - all matching.  I designed this with the end of the school year in mind to give to my son's teacher when he left her class.

The notebook I made by covering a 6" square coaster board with a 7" square of lullaby designer series paper, before overlapping it onto the back and covering with coastal cabana cardstock to hide the edges.  I then cut 6" squares of coastal cabana and baked brown sugar cardstock for the file tabs sheet, which I cut out using the new file tabs die.  The 15 white pages were originally 6" squares that I cut down to fit behind the file tabs sheets.  I scored these (and the file tabs sheets) at 1" so that the pages could be opened.  (I learnt this the hard way!).  I stuck it all together up to the score line and added a spine to make it look more like a book, before using the new work of art stamp set to stamp the greeting.  I cut this out using the decorative label punch and sponge daubered the edges to blend them in, before adding to the front with dimensionals.  I then added some flowers punched from the Itty Bitty accents punch set and the pearls.

The card was a little easier and was simply a case of sticking it all on really.  The greeting was stamped, punched and attached in the same way as the notebook.

The chocolate treats box was made by making a basic box base from coastal cabana and decorated using baked brown sugar cardstock and lullaby designer series paper. I used a sheet of window sheet as the lid so that you could see what was inside, and finished it off with a piece of coastal cabana thick baker's twine.

A lovely gift I think!
